James Edward White, 86, of Greenville, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2007.Born in Greenville, S.C., he was the son of the late Noah I. and Essie Mae Turner White.He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Nelson and retired from JP Stevens.He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Irene Haynes White of Greenville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Tim Turner of Easley, S.C., and Barbara and Tommy Taylor of Hubert, N.C.; five grandchildren, Teresa Draggoo, Dwayne Taylor, Donnie Cam, Todd Turner, Grant Turner; and eight great-grandchildren.Funeral service will be Saturday, December 15, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home.Flowers appreciated and/or memorials may be made to the Boys Home of the South.Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville
