WHITE, James E. "Jimmy," 66, of Tampa, passed away February 21, 2007. He was lovingly devoted to his wife of 41 years, Carol, and daughter, Kelli Fowler, and husband, Ted, of Tampa. Other survivors include his brother, Albert White, and wife, Beth, of Tampa; niece, Jennifer White-Younger, and husband, Rob, of Tennessee; nephew, Greg White, and wife, Laura, of New Jersey; sisters-in law, Sandra Giddens and husband, Bob, of Tampa and Mary Swank and husband, Randy, of Tampa; nephews, Michael Swank and wife, Nicole, of Germany and Cody Swank of Tampa; four great-nieces and -nephews; and many loyal, loving and dedicated friends who shared his life with love and loads of laughter. A standout baseball player at Hillsborough High School, Florida State University and with the Baltimore Orioles organization, Jimmy retired after 36 years from Graybar Electric Co. in Tampa. He was a man of great integrity, generosity and love. He will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 25, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Carrollowood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa. A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, February 26, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Fowler II, Wayne Papy, Don Rothell, Roger Beaubien, Jimmy Suarez, A.J. Frimmer, Dana Hardee, Don Russell, Sexton Valenti and Victor Hoffman. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert White, Tom Jones, Ted Fowler and Allen Castleman.
