Jacky Morgan will officiate and burial will be in Hepzibah Baptist Cemetery, Talladega AL. His family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Mr. Gunter passed away September 16, 2014 in St. Vincent"s East Birmingham, Alabama Mr. Gunter served in The United States Navy and retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a graduate of Winterboro High School. He is preceded in death by father, Robert Franklin Gunter, mother, Sarah Elizabeth Gunter, son, Clarence Patterson, brother, Robert Joe Gunter, sister, Annie Ruth Thomas. Survivors include wife, Betty Jean Gunter, son, Frank Gunter, son, Dewayne (Cory) Gunter, son, Carl Gardner, daughter, Sarah Gunter, daughter, Melissa (Gil) Torres, daughter, Tammy Williams, brother, Raymond Gunter, sister, Mary (James) Goss, a number of grandchildren, nieces, & nephews.
