Funeral for James W. Edwards, 66, of Decatur will be Friday, July 23, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Mitchell and the Rev. Ferrell Roberts officiating.Burial will be in Forrest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Edwards died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at his residence. He was born April 4, 1938, in Cullman County to James Robert Edwards and Susie Boone Edwards. He was a member of Mount Olive Full Gospel Fellowship where he served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Faye Mitchell Edwards; one son, James Timothy Edwards of Decatur; three daughters, Rita Fay Harper of Foreman, Ark., Donna Jean Inmon of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Jamie Lynn Hopper of Jackson County, Ala.; three grandsons; seven granddaughters; and three great grandsons.Pallbearers will be George R. Inmon, James B. Harper, James A. Edwards, James M. Price, Jack H. McRae, Larry Pollock, Byron Turney and Joseph Bellflauer. Honorary pallbearers will be George Robert Inmon Jr. and Wayne Parker.
