CARTER, JAMES W. "BILL", 85, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2005, at Norton Suburban Hospital. He was a retired revenue officer for the Internal Revenue Service with 35 years of service, a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Bill is survived by his wife, Margaret D. Carter; a son, James W. Carter Jr. (Jane); four daughters, Lorie Carter, Dottie Luber (Tom), Janice L. Scherm (Mike) and Jane L. Foushee (Ray); as well as his seven grandchildren, Katie and Allison Luber, Maggie Foushee, Sarah and Doran Scherm and Abby and Emily Carter. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3521 Goldsmith Lane, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 9 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2005, at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. Memorial gifts may be made to Mass of the Air.
