James Thomas Holden III, 50, of 417 Penobscot, Simpsonville, died May 3, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was a son of Bernice Peddicord Holden of Simpsonville, and the late James Thomas Holden Jr. He was a computer analyst with Michelin Tires. Surviving also are his wife, Linda Pope Holden, of the home; daughters, Lizy Holden and Katie Holden, both of the home; a sister, Cathy Holden, of Simpsonville; brothers, Larry Holden of Monroe, Maine, Christopher Holden of Doylestown, Pa., and Steven Holden of Mid West City, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at The Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. The Rev. Norman Pond will officiate. Visitation: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
