DEMAREE, JAMES THOMAS II, died Monday, February 20, 2006. He was born October 7, 1924, in Louisville, KY to Clarence Wilson and Elizabeth (Harrod) Demaree. He attended Ahrens Trade High School and the University of Louisville. He worked as a carpenter and project lead for Adolfson-Peterson Construction, safety inspector for the Army Corp. of Engineers on the Mississippi Dam Projects and later as a building and zoning inspector for the City of Brooklyn Park, MN. An avid gardener, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and building and refinishing furniture. In World War II he served aboard the aircraft carrier Breton. In 1946 he married Ethel Koenig. James is survived by his wife; twin sister, Jane Eichberger of Louisville, KY; sons, Richard of Boise, ID, Thomas of Fridley, MN; daughter, Peggy of Philadelphia, PA; grandson, Christian of Boise, ID; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with interment in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service, all at Washburn-McReavy, Robbinsdale Chapel, 4239 West Broadway. 763-537-2333
