ABBC ClerkWINTER HAVEN -- Mr. James "Jimmy" E. Carter Sanborn of Winter Haven died of heart failure Thursday (Aug. 7, 2003) at Integrated Health Services in Auburndale. He was 70.Born Jan. 22, 1933, in Ward, W.Va., he came here from West Virginia one year ago. He was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Korean War. He was an ABBC clerk for the state of West Virginia. He was Protestant.Mr. Sanborn is survived by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis G. Sanborn; brothers, Tommy Carter, West Virginia, Billy Carter, Auburndale, Gibbie Carter, Scott Depot, W.Va., Joe Carter, Winter Haven; sisters, Charlotte Simonds, Winter Haven, Sue Honeycutt, Daleville, Ala., Pauline Trosky, Bolivar, Ohio, and Dian Wright, Ocala.Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale.
