Ford Motor Company retiree THOMSON, Ga.- Mr. James Roy Hamilton, 87, beloved husband of Mrs. Irene Hamilton of Grovetown, Ga., died Thursday, April 29, 2004, in the St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2004, in the Thomson First Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hamilton was a native of McDuffie County. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Mens Bible Class. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Irene Hamilton, Grovetown; his son, Jim Hamilton, Powder Springs; two sisters, Mary Gunby and Annie Amerson, both of Thomson; a brother, Sterling Hamilton, Thomson; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be members of the Mens Bible Class. Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home.
