STUART, James Robert “Bob” - on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at QHC - Belleville General, after a courageous battle, peacefully with his family at his side. Bob Stuart of Belleville in his 76th year. Son of the late Edward and Thelma Stuart. Beloved husband and best friend of Doris Stuart (nee Hillier) of Belleville. Loving father of Vicky Deryaw (Peter Helm), Kim (Ken) Brightwell, Ed (Peggy Rollins), Tammy (Mark) Baigent, and Tom (Cherie) all of Belleville. Cherished grandfather of Amy Deryaw-Sayers (Gary), Bob Deryaw, Angela Gray (Shane), David Brightwell, Chad & Vanessa Rollins, Hailey, Becky & Alex Baigent, Ashley Aarts (Charlie) and Dylan Stuart. Great grandfather of Aden, Blair and Ben. Bob is survived by his sisters Sharon (Carmen) Hopkins of Belleville and Gail (Merrill) Brown of Thomasburg and his sister in-law Hazel (Norm) Barriage. He is also fondly remembered by several nieces & nephews, life long family friend Joanne Craighead and his good neighbors Pat & Theresa. Bob is predeceased by his sisters Gloria Cornish, Jeannette Kerr and brother Terry Stuart.Bob was a longtime Correctional Volunteer with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. Friends are invited to call at the STEELE FUNERAL HOME, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (968-2273) on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of St. Michael the Archangel on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. James Cemetery. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Belleville General Hospital Foundation Oncology would be appreciated by the family.
