DAVIS, JAMES R., 80, of St. Matthews, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012. He was the son of the late Rudy P. and Minnie B. Davis. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, and a retired Power Plant Operator for L.G. & E. He was a volunteer for U.C.H.M. He was a member of Crescent Hill Masonic Lodge, and the Crescent Hill United Methodist Church. He was also preceded in death by his siblings; Alice Colin, Rudy, and Robert, and Norman Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley B. Davis; and his children, Vicky Aileen Davis and Richard Glenn Davis and wife Sandra; his sister, Minnie Franklin; and his brother, Kenneth Rhea Davis; and many nieces and nephews. A service to Celebrate Jim's life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave., with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
