BALLARD, James Robert "Bob," 72, of Dover, passed away Monday, March 27, 2006. He was a native of Tampa, and lived in the area since 1972 coming from Orlando. He was a member of Mango Church of God, a dairy cattleman and member of the Florida Cattleman's Association. He is survived by his wife, Ann; son, John Groover; five daughters, Debbie Ballard, Robin Ballard, Marilyn Ballard Hurst, Tina Ballard and Melody Sharpe; three brothers, W.C. Ballard, Richard Ballard and Jerry Ballard; two sisters, Jean Mullis and Carolyn Blanton; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family sincerely thanks the many devoted doctors, nurses and technicians who greatly contributed to Robert Ballard's quality of life, especially Dr. Dawson, Dr. Williams, Dr. Blackman, Dr.Greco, Dr. Hoffstedler, Dr. Powell, Dr. Kolhmeier, Mark Mlack, Bay Area Cardiologists, Dr. Stonerock, Dr. Chosky, Dr. Khant and the staff at LifePath Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
