LIVE OAK -- Mr. James Robert "J.R." Patterson of Live Oak, a former resident of Haines City, died of cancer Friday (Sept. 23 2005) in Gainesville. He was 78.He was born Nov. 15, 1926, and lived in Haines City and Fort Myers before moving to Live Oak 10 years ago. He was a member of the American Legion in Haines City and the American Veterans Association in Fort Myers.Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife, Wilma Patterson; daughters, Sharon Cressley, Lee, and Rebecca Daniels, Fort Walton Beach; sons, James Robert Patterson, Live Oak; Herbert S. Eagan, Mayo, and Stuart Eagan, Lee; sisters, Catherine Miller, Arlene Eagan, Alena Karl, Ester Bogart and Alseba Perkins; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Visitation will be today at noon at Suwannee Funeral Home in Live Oak with services at 1 p.m.
