GRIMES, James P.James P. Grimes, 82, of Jupiter, passed away quietly on May 28, 2014 in Jupiter, FL. Jim is survived by, his wife Hazel Aittama Grimes and five children, Terry Grimes, Ann Smith, Patty Grimes, Jill Grimes and Kathy Grimes. The Grimes family has been long time residents of Jupiter, FL since 1971. Jim was an avid reader and author of numerous historical magazine articles, both nationally and internationally. Jim also authored his own book about ancient copper trades between the Old and New Worlds in 15th century B.C. Jim had an MBA from the University of Michigan and retired after a successful career at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Mr. Grimes also served two years in the U.S. Army, Korea, 1952. Jim was very involved in building cars, boats and his family's homes and was a wonderful painter of murals and oil canvases. He will be long remembered for his intelligence, wit, hard work, and resourcefulness. A memorial service including spreading of his ashes on The Suwannee River, will be held in the near future per his request. In lieu of flowers, donations in Memorial to James P.
