Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Village Chapel for James N. Starr, 93, Gadsden, who died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008. The Rev. Fred Fuller will officiate. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.Mr. Starr was a longtime resident of Etowah County. He was of the Methodist faith. He retired from Gulf States Steel.He is survived by his daughters, Betty O'Steen and Marie Moore; sons, Donald and Johnny Starr; a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Shannon and Ken Muniz.Pallbearers will be family and friends.The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
