Born in McClellandtown, Pa., January 2, 1920, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Jean Messenger; daughters, Kathy Maiville, Nancy Losgar (John) and Anita Deal; and grandchildren, Austin, Audrey and Thomas Deal. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel. The funeral will take place at noon Saturday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to LifePath Hospice.
