James Morris Reid - Savannah -James Morris Reid, 72, died Sunday July 16th, 2006 at home after a long illness. He was born in Albany, GA and lived most of his life in Savannah, GA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City, GA. He was Chief Microbiologist at Memorial Medical Health University for 25 years, and taught Allied Health at the hospital for 10 years, and he taught at night, at Armstrong Atlantic University. He received the Humanitarian Award in 1987. He was an avid gardener. Mr. Reid was preceded in death by his parents John L. and Jimmie Reid Sr. and a brother, John L. Reid, Jr., twin grand-children Christopher William and Brandi Marie Reid. He is survived by four children, sons and daughters in law, James Clifford Reid (Janet) of Richmond Hill, GA., Charles Reid (Van) of Pooler, GA., Jerry L. Reid (Shanda K.) of Pooler, GA., daughter and son in law, Elizabeth Reid Cox (Gordon M.) of Savannah, GA., 11 grandchildren, James C. Jr., Jonathan A., Jessica L., Alexandra, Cara, Sarah, Kristina, Victoria Reid, Jack, Anne, and Jan Holland, three brothers, Bob, Travis, and Ned and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5:30-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18th, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Garden City, GA. Memorial Service: 7 p.m., Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Garden City, Ga.
