He was born in Laurel Hill, FL.He is preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Amanda Morrison and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. & Mrs. W.E. Middlebrooks.He is survived by his wife, Barbara Middlebrooks Morrison; son, Scott Morrison (Stacy); daughter, Debbie Lane (Mike); sister, Mabel Jean Morrison of Laurel Hill, FL; step-grandsons, Sean Lane (Ashlee) and Scott Lane; and great-grandchildren.Mr. Morrison was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, having served as past Chairman of the Administrative Board and Staff Parish Committee, Sunday School Teacher, and member of the Hupomeno Sunday School Class. He was past President of the Pensacola Exchange Club, past President of Estate Planning Council of Northwest Florida, past President of the Pensacola Chapter of The American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters, member and past President of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, honorary member of Gold Key and retired representative of AXA Financial Services. He was a retired Lt. Col. in the U.S. Army Reserves and a 1951 graduate of Florida State University.Visitation will be held 5-7pm Friday, October 1, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.Funeral Service will be held 10:00am Saturday, October 2, 2010 at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery located near Laurel Hill, FL at 3:00pm.Pallbearers are members of the Hupomeno Sunday School Class and Keith Bell.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 2203 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32503.The family would like to express their appreciation to Covenant Hospice of West Florida Hospital and Joyce Tracy, who touched all of our lives, and to whom we will forever be grateful.HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
