James Dorling Jordan, 75, of 193 N. Dill Ave., died June 23, 2003.A native of Greenville County, he was the son of the late James Robert and Jennie Louise Smith Jordan. He was a retired supervisor for J.P. Stevens, was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was of the Church of God faith.Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Hart Jordan, of the home; three daughters, Patsy Good, Martha Owens and Jo Hamby, all of Greer; a sister, Jennie Ruth Farmer, of Piedmont; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Jordan was predeceased by one daughter, Norma Elizabeth Jordan.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Aaron Clardy and the Rev. Paul Johnson. Burial will follow at Highland Baptist Church Cemetery.Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at The Wood Mortuary.The family is at the home. - The Wood Mortuary Inc.
