JAMES CLINTON "J.C." HORTON1940-2008James Horton, age 68 of Pensacola, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008. At the time of his death, James was employed with Ladd Realty Management in Birmingham, AL. He enjoyed his hobby of breeding exotic birds. James spent many years as a roofer and sheet metal worker with McCormick Roofing.He was preceded in death by his parents, William W. & Maude Viola Horton; three brothers, Raymond, Joe and Eugene Horton; and two sisters, Lena Matejko, and Lillian Nowling.Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Frances Alean Young Horton; daughter, Theresa Horton Lowell & husband Douglas; son, Jimmy Horton, Jr. & wife, Doris; eight grandchildren, Devin, Brooke, Blake, Heather, Erica, Michael, Shelby and Shannon; two sisters, Cindy Ward and Chris Cabe; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2009 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy with Rev. Ralph Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Cobbtown Cemetery in Jay.The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 2.
