MALONE James Henry Malone, 70, of Margate, Fla. entered the kingdom of heaven on January 7, 2003. Cherished husband of Patricia for 47 years. Beloved father of Frank, Patty (Sandy) and Debbie (Bobby). Adoring grandfather to Ashley, Shane, Jimmy, Victoria and Brooke. Proud son of Patrick and Margaret Malone, beloved brother of his 10 siblings. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Trusted friend to many. Jim held a special place in his heart for best friend Joe Catricola and close friends Don Welch and Don Frasier. Jim led an exceptional life, which began June 29, 1932 in Brooklyn, N.Y. From Golden Gloves of N.Y. to proud member of the U.S.M.C. Jim went on to become a N.Y.P.D police officer and detective before relocating to Florida in 1972. Jim was a successful business and land owner, before completing his career at Broward County Mass Transit, where he worked tirelessly for Local Union 1267. He served the Union honorably, in many capacities, including that of President. Jim was admired by both his fellow drivers and the administration alike. Jim had a joke and a smile for all and will be sorely missed and forever loved by all who knew him. Viewing will be on Thursday, 1/9/2003, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
