God, Jesus Christ, called His servant, James Harve Davis, home to Heaven at age 92 on Saturday, June 5, 2010. James is survived by his twin, Jean Davis Henry; one younger sister, Betty Davis Gateley and her husband Ward Gateley; one nephew, James Gateley and wife Martha Curtis Gateley of Huntsville, Ala.; three nieces, Mary Ruth Davis Benson and husband Dr. Larry Benson of Kansas City, Mo., Frances Ann Davis Hargadon and husband Paul Hargadon of St. Louis, Mo., and Joan Gray Stevens of Tulsa, Okla.; one step-niece, Lillian Boyd of Caruthersville, Mo.; a number of grand nieces and nephews, and one first cousin, Andrew Esther of Springfield, Mo. Viewing is Saturday, June 12, at 2 p.m. followed by a brief funeral service at 2:30 p.m. in the shelter of Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. Don Powell officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery beside his beloved wife, Evelyn Bailey Davis, under the auspices of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.
