ALBANY James H. Cavanaugh, 53, died suddenly Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Memorial Hospital in Albany. Jim served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He worked for the Albany County Highway Department in Knox, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Boyd Hilton VFW Post and the American Legion Post in Altamont. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen C. Duell, in 1999. He is survived by one sister, Joan M. Maslowsky of Knox; one brother, Robert D. Duell and his fiancee Erin Flannery of Knox; one daughter, Lisa Marie Cavanaugh; one nephew, Roger J. Maslowsky and one niece, Connie Carusone and family, Dan, Kendra, Devon and Travis. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont.
