James G. McGowan, 71, of Wildwood, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Ave., North Wildwood, N.J. Interment is private. Born in Newark, N.J., Mr. McGowan had been a Wildwood resident for the past 10 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during the Vietnam War. Mr. McGowan was a retired captain of the Kearny Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Ann (nee LiVolsi); three children, James III, Brian ( Denise) and Steven, and three grandchildren, Shane, Ryan and Alicia.
