Mr. James L. "T-Model" Forrester, age 77, of Simpsonville, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Greenville County, and was a son of the late William and Mamie Bayne Forrester. Mr. Forrester was an U.S. Army veteran during World War II, and was retired from John D. Hollingsworth. He was a member of the Simpsonville Masonic Lodge AFM # 311, and also was a Shriner, and was a member of Standing Springs Baptist Church.He is survived by his loving family: Wife, Geneva C. Forrester; sons, Jim Forrester and wife, Vickie, and Shane Forrester and wife, Michelle; daughters, Shirley F. Wooten and husband, Billy, and Terri F. Dill; a brother, Wallace Forrester; a sister, Edna Coleman; grandchildren, Jennifer Griffin, Doni Lollis, Jaime Williams, Carrie Buchanan, Shannon Thurston, Jimmy Forrester, Casey Wooten, Crystal Wooten, Jacob Leonard and Kaylen Forrester; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Chloe Williams; brothers, Bill, Pete and Harvey Forrester; and sister, Jean Brown.The family will receive friends today, April 8, 2005, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Standing Springs Baptist Church, with services to follow at 3 p.m., with Rev. Glenn Bryant and Rev. Michael Beeks officiating.
