ALBANY James E. Hale, 55, of Albany, N.Y., died suddenly Monday, April 7, 2003 at the V.A. Medical Center. Born in Troy, N.Y., he was the son of Susan Hale. Mr. Hale was a faithful member of the Star of Bethlehem M.B. Church. Mr. Hale served as the Church Facility Manager, usher, Sunday school teacher, president of the Men's Auxiliary and president of the Usher Board. Mr. Hale served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Survivors include a daughter, Athena Hale; two granddaughters, Kadija and Kenya Jones, all of Albany; two brothers, William E. Brown, Sr. of Troy and John A. Hale of Albany. Funeral service Friday 10:30 a.m. at Star of Bethlehem Church, 513 Clinton Avenue, Rev. Beresford Bailey officiating. Calling hours 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church, prior to the service. Interment Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y.
