Funeral service for James E. Davis, 53, Fifth Street, Holly Hill, who died February 19, 2007, at home, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 24, at New Life Church Ministries, Derbyshire Rd., Day-tona Beach, with the Rev. Dr. Victor E. Gooden, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Friday) and from 11:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the New Life Church Ministries. Mr. Davis was born in Oak Hill and moved to this area 43 years ago from there. A 1971 graduate of Seabreeze High School, he enjoyed baseball and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Mary A. Davis, Callahan; son, Johnny McKnight, Callahan, Fla; daughter, Katina Markham, Orlando; father, Eddie Davis, Gainesville; mother, Mary Moore Austin, Ormond Beach; stepfather, the Rev. Harry Austin, Jr., Daytona Beach; brother, Robert Moore; and two sisters, Gail Young and Sarah Austin, all of Daytona Beach; uncles and aunts, Willie Moore (Hattie), Ormond Beach, Jimmy L. Stuckey (MaryAnn), Osteen, Fla., Stella Baker, Daytona Beach; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
