DAVIS James R. Jr., born October 29, 1931 in Hackensack, NJ to Beatrice and James R Davis Sr., passed away August 4, 2013. Graduated; Rutgers University 1954 with a BS in Entomology, Commmissioned 2nd Lt USAF. Called to duty as a Fighter Pilot. A 22 year career with the Air Force retiring 1977 as Lt. Colonel, with military distinctions. A 2nd career with TRW 1977-1997 as a Business Manager. JR was active in the community, volunteering, and tutoring young people in Math and Science. Survived by his wife, Glennor; children, Richard, Lorraine, Steven, and Robert; sisters, Carol Gregory, Estelle Dickson, and his beloved Aunt Justine Walker. He will also be missed by his nephew and niece; Dennis Davis, and Cassandra Copening, cousins; Dallas Grey, Sylvia Johnson, Donna Macklin; Alice Cheatam, Wilma Lee, and Brenda Walker. His great-nieces and nephews; Dennis Davis Jr., Jillian Davis, Ariana Copening, and long-term friend, caregiver and nurse, Carol Beckles. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Beatrice and James Davis Sr., and aunts and uncles, Nellie Gray, Mary Jane Albury, Edna Macklin, and Emanuel Walker.
