Untitled JAMES CLIFFORD WILSON AUGUST 13, 1925 - FEBRUARY 3, 2010 James Clifford "J.C." Wilson, 84, of Harold, FL passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in a local Hospice facility, following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Harold, FL, born to the late Frank and Niccie Wilson. Clifford later joined the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving on the Admiral flagship. There he met and married his Arkansas girlfriend, Mary Sue Stuart. He started Wilson Lumber Co. in 1972 and he was there at the mill nearly everyday until his health began to keep him away, six months ago. He served 14 years as a Santa Rosa County Commissioner. Clifford was a member of the F&AM Lodge #16, in Milton, and the Hadji Shrine Temple. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harold. Clifford was preceded in death by his daughter, LaDonna Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Sue Wilson, of Harold; sons, Van L. Wilson, of Harold, Marc Wilson, of Milton, and Gary (Faye) Wilson, of Harold; six grandchildren, Velda (Mike) Hamm, Frank (Raeann) Wilson, Jon Wilson, Stuart (Desiree) Wilson, Tammy Sue (Richard) Bardin, and Waylon Wilson; eight great-grandchildren, Brittany (Charlie) Hoyt, Marshall Dylan Peacock, Ashley Rae Wilson, J.C. Wilson, Sydney Bardin, Logan Bardin, Tyler Hamm, and Mica Hamm; one great-great-grandchild, Brooke Lynn Hoyt. Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be 2:30 PM, Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel with Rev. David Kauble and Rev. Alton Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in Harold Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Lewis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Mr. Wilson's grandsons, Frank Wilson, Stuart Wilson, Jon Wilson, Waylon Wilson, Dylan Peacock, and Charlie Hoyt. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Nix, Ray Helms, Michael Brown, Marshall Fuqua, Lamar Thompson, Neil Baker, William Kelley, Glen Gilmore, Jerry Morrell, Dewey Hatcher, L.T. Couch, and F.M.
