AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest at his residence February 1, 2007, Mr. James Carter of High St. Mr. Carter was a native of Augusta and a member of Tremount Temple Baptist Church of which Rev. W.F. Bass is pastor. Survivors include devoted cousin, Mrs. Flora Williams; devoted niece, Mrs. Bernice (Charles) Miller; other nieces and nephews include, Lula Mae (Robert) Herbert, Robert Lewis, Johnnie (Carrie) Lewis, James (Gwen) Lewis, Joe Lewis, Riley Lewis; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 1 p.m. from Tremount Temple Baptist Church, Rev. W.F. Bass officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 12 noon until the hour of the services and will not be viewed after the eulogy. The funeral procession will leave the residence at 12:30 p.m. Friends may call at the residence or the funeral home. The Historic Dent's Undertaking Establishment serving the CSRA since the 1800's.
