James Allan Heath October 14, 1929 - August 17, 2013 We are saddened to announce the passing of Jim, after chronic illness but, as was his nature, with grace and dignity. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce Norma (O'Neill) and his daughter Susan Lorena.Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Andrea Sartor (Bob), his son Stephen (Kathleen Ippersiel), his brother Art (Norma) and his sister Joyce Borthwick -Leslie (David). Jim was proud Poppa to James, Matthew, Laura, Kelly, Karine and Claudine. After retiring from a rewarding career as a lithographer for the Fine Printing division of the Montreal Gazette, Jim and Joyce settled in Baldwin's Mills, QC. Always an outdoor enthusiast, Jim was an avid skiier and golfer. He enjoyed boat-building and sailing throughout his life. In his years on the lake he became an accomplished gardener and a terrific artist, painting mostly watercolors. He and Joyce enjoyed a busy social life in their community and on the golf course. They moved to Calgary in 2000 to be closer to family and they embraced their new home in the Foothills of the Rockies. Despite many physical limitations in his latter years, Jim maintained a positive attitude, a keen sense of humor and an abiding interest in the world at large and in the lives of his loved ones.At Jim's request there will be no funeral. A joint celebration of Life will be held for Jim and Joyce at their beloved Lac Lyster in October. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Eau Claire Residence for their kind, respectful support of Jim in these last years. He will be missed.
