PITTSFORD, N. Y. -- James A. Williams died unexpectedly Jan. 15, 2006.He was born Jan. 15, 1935, in Minerville, Ohio, to Ella (Edwards) and William E. Williams, Jr., one of five children. The family moved to Chelsea, Maine, in 1946. He graduated from Cony High School in 1953.He gained his interest in flying while helping his father at the Augusta airport, where he learned to fly. With an avid interest in flying, Jim joined the Air National Guard and eventually owned his own plane.He married Margery (Webster) Williams in Hallowell, with whom he had two children, James and Tammy.His family eventually settled in the Rochester, N.Y., area. Jim worked for Xerox Corp. as an electrical model maker and retired after more than 30 years at the corporation.He was predeceased by Margery, in 1979, and later married Shirley (Geiger) Williams. Together, they raised three sons, Steve, Frank and Jeff.He was predeceased by his parents; first wife Margery; sister RuthAnn (Williams) Allen; and brother William E. Williams III.He was survived by his wife, Shirley, of Pittsford, N.Y.; his sister, Nancy W. White, of North Mrytle Beach, S.C.; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas V. and Judy Williams, of Chelsea; his son and daughter-in-law, James and Jackie Williams, of Pensfield, N.Y.; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Michael Richards, of Mendon, N.Y.; stepsons Steve, Frank and Jeff; his grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting hours were held at Keenan's Funeral Home in Egypt, N.Y. Committal services were held at Whitehaven All Season Chapel.Donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
