<!-- FH = Howze Mortuary -->James Allen Edwards, Sr., 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 20, 2010.Born in Fulton County, GA, he was a son of the late Newman Alexander and Clara Nell Pettitt Edwards. Mr. Edwards retired from the U.S. Air Force after 39 years of service.Surviving is his wife, Joyce Winfrey Edwards; two children, Patty Burgess and husband Gary & Scott Edwards and wife Ashley; 7 grandchildren, Melissa Henry and husband Josh, Sarah, Hannah & Joshua Burgess and Hailey, Ryley & James Wilson Edwards and a great grandson, James Bowen Henry.He was predeceased by a son, James Allen Edwards, Jr. and a brother, Don Edwards.Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with burial to follow in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends from 11-12:30 Monday at the church prior to the service.The Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest is in charge of arrangements.
