CARTER Jacquelyn Yvonne Freeman Carter passed away July 30, 2013 at St. Vincent's Hospital following a 12 year battle with Cancer. She was a life long resident of Jacksonville and retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida. Jackie is preceded by her husband of forty years, Leonard Wayne Carter. She is survived by her children, Jeff (wife Jennifer), Jenny and Shane Carter; Mother, Mary Freeman; Sisters, Nancy McCloud and Laurie Ferreira; Brothers, Chuck and Joseph Freeman; Brother-in-law Rick Ferreira; Sister-in-law Elaine Carter, as well as her nieces and nephews, Kevin and Terry Wolfe, Ricky and Katie Ferreira, Joey Freeman, Stephanie Pum Martin and Tara Pum Holmes; her Grand nieces Heather and Hannah Wolfe, and Grand nephew Zachary Wolfe. Jackie was completely devoted to her family and brought much joy to our lives. Throughout her life she was immensely generous and kind to all who knew her. Her sense of humor and adventure was boundless and her beautiful spirit will live in our hearts forever. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 5752 Blanding Blvd., Jax. FL and a viewing will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am.
