PETERSON Jacqueline Lea Peterson of Ponte Vedra Beach died at home on May 11, 2002. She was born in Omaha, NE, and came to Florida in 1983. Jackie was adored by her loving husband of 47 years, Jack, and their threes sons and families: Kyle and Tracey, John and Julie and Andrew and Monica. Her Five granddaughters, Elizabeth, Sarah, Audrey, Elsa and Grace shared special times with their “ Nana”. Also, Betty Ohlin of San Diego, her sister, grieves this loss. Jackie was known for her creativity as an artist and calligrapher and was recognized by the Smithsonian U.S. Post Office Museum. Friends and family knew her as being joyful, feisty, direct and true. She was proud to have been educated at Beals Elementary and Central High schools, Omaha, and was a graduate of the University of Nebraska. A Memorial celebrating Jackies life-gifts will be held at Palms Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville Beach, on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Carol DiGiusto presiding. Family visits will be at a reception in the church Fellowship Hall following the service. A memorial celebration will be at gravesite at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha, on Monday, May 20, 2002 at 1 p.m., prior to interment beside her infant daughter and son, Kristen and Wayne.
