JACQUELINE JEAN COMEAU -- CANTONMENT, Fla. — Jacqueline Jean Comeau, 68, of Cantonment died Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2004, at her home. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Reverend Mr. Randall O. Comeau; and their five children, Jeffrey and his wife Denise Comeau, Christopher and his wife Andrea Comeau, Lynn Ann and her husband David Covell, Brent and his wife Donna Comeau, and Rebecca and her husband Nicholas Sherrouse. She had eight grandchildren, Sydney Comeau, Jessica Comeau, Christian Comeau, Jacob Covell, Macy Comeau, Seth Comeau, Matthew Covell, Zachary Comeau; and two stepgrand- children, Teddy Forst and Justine Forst. She is further survived by her sister, Janet Kirby; and many nieces and nephews. She served her community as an extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) and associate chaplain for the women in the Escambia County Jail for 17 years, as a member of the board of directors for Interfaith Jail Ministries, as EMHC in hospitals, as a Red Cross swimming instructor, and a water safety instructor, as a Navy Relief Society counselor, as a member of Nativity of Our Lord Ladies Society, as a Cub and Girl Scout leader and in many other volunteer positions. The funeral Mass was celebrated in Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Pensacola, Wednesday, Dec. 29. The celebrant was the Most Reverend Bishop John H. Richard, SSSJ. Concelebrants included Reverend Monsignors Michael P. Mooney and Raymond Mullins, Reverend Deacons Randall O. Comeau and Dennis Dobransky assisting. The Reverend Mr. Randall O. Comeau served as homilist. The burial service took place at Barrancas National Cemetery in Penscola.
