Jacqueline Christie Patterson, 74, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born in New London, Conn., Sept. 14, 1933, to the late Malcolm and Christine Belle Mattison Christie. Jacqueline was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lynn Haven for the last 25 years and an elder for the last 20 years. She was an administrator of both the Presbytery of Florida and the Hunger Action Team. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. (Dick) Patterson, in 1991. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Catherine Herrington and her husband, Oscar, of Panama City, Fla., and Christine Scarbrough and her husband, Albert, of Henning, Tenn.; a son, Richard Brooks Patterson Jr. of Youngstown, Fla.; four grandchildren, Dayle Stidham and her husband, Zack, Cassie Scarbrough, Catherine Scarbrough and Christie Polk and her husband, Dale; sister, June Sharp and her husband, Joe; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her cherished dog, Ling Ling. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church of Lynn Haven with Pastor Dan Mitchell officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
