SPARTANBURG, SC-- Jacqueline Absher Davis, 78, of 17 Tennant Street, died on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born on October 27, 1927 in Gaston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Etta Russ Absher and the widow of Roger Glenn Davis.She was employed with Whitney Yarn Mill, Spartan Mills Division and a Baptist by faith.Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Ballard of Cherokee County, SC, Rita Horton and Darlene Bullman both of Spartanburg; two sons, Jimmy Davis of Spartanburg, and Ted Gantt of Cherryville, NC; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.Visitation will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Floyds North Church Street Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006 at Heritage Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev.
