-> Jack Vasco Davis, 85, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Dec 13, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a native of Wrens, Ga., and had lived in Savannah for the past 54 years. He was a veteran of WW II, having served in the US Marine Corps, serving in the Pacific Campaign, and was honorably discharged. He became the owner of Jack V. Davis Painting Contractor and in the early 1970's, was the largest Painting Company in Savannah. He retired from the business in his early seventies. He was a member of the Holy Church of God, and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. He is survived by three sons, Stan Davis and John Davis both of Savannah, and Glenn Davis of Travelers Rest, S.C.; two daughters, Linda Costantino of Hinesville, Ga., and Debbie D. Hutchinson of Savannah; a sister, Ruth Wahl of Decatur, Ga., 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Friday at the Holy Church of God with Rev. Ryan Ralston, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park. Mr. Davis will be taken to the church at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday, to lie in state. Remembrances: Gideon's International, PO Box 14048, Savannah, Ga 31416. Hubert C.
