DAVIS _ Jack Carl Richard Born April 6, 1935 in Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 13, 2004 with his two proud sons by his side. Only Son of John Davis and Francis Miller of Calgary. His memory will be immortalized by his boys, former wife, extended family on all sides, and his plethora of friends which include: Flea-bag pals and gals, carnies, OVBL bowlers, crib buddies, past and recent sweethearts, cardsharks, snooker shooters, trader jack patrons, aristocrats and street rats, various civil authorities, debtors and collectors, and to those who shared a Jack moment. Jack was a Son, Husband, Father, gambler, charmer, collector, historian, facilitator, negotiator, instigator, stampeder, meat eater, bootlegger, storyteller, valentino, humorist, smuggler, confidence-man, coordinator, SOB, BYOB santa, bellylaugher, illustrator, confounder, opportunist, carkiller, Prez-trez and sometimes wore a fez, moviebuff, recycler, capitalist-marxist, survivalist, gregarious, fun and loving and proud son of Calgary. Jack's life will be celebrated with an afternoon memorial get-together at The Crazy Donkey Bar and Grill (formerly Trojan), 110 - 11 Avenue S.W. from 3:00 p.m. until the bell tolls, and continued with a memorial G-sale at Hillhurst-Sunnyside flea-market the following Sunday, located at 14 Street and 8 Avenue N.W.
