JACK D. DAVIS CROWN POINT, IN Jack D. Davis, age 83, of Crown Point, IN passed away into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday May 15, 2014. Jack was born in Gary, IN on July 6, 1930. He was preceded in death by his parents: James Leonard and Lauretta Marie Davis; one sister, Dorothy; one brother, Jimmy. He is survived by his wife, Aletha,; four daughters: Paula (Randy) Lott, of Kildeer, IL, Karen (Carl) Goodman of King, NC, Teresa (Gary) Jackson of Marietta GA; and Janet (Richard) Leamon of Chattanooga, TN; 12 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Dyer Baptist Church, 735 -213th Street, Dyer, IN with Pastor David Atkinson officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday May 17, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, IN. Jack graduated from Emerson High School where he played on the basketball team. He served in the army during The Korean Conflict, receiving an honorable discharge.
