Service will be at 2 p.m. today at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home Chapel for Judy Ann Smith, 66, Glencoe, who died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Shepards Cove. Jerome Smith will officiate. Burial in Oakhill Cemetery. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home, Jasper, directing.Mrs. Smith was born June 12, 1941, in Parrish. She graduated from Walker County High School in 1959 and received her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Montevallo. She was a science teacher at Columbiana Middle School, Cullman Middle Schol and Brookhaven Middle School in Decatur. She was an active member of the Glencoe Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother and a faithful Christian as well as a caring friend. She will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by her parents, Chelcie and Rose Gant.She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James F. Smith, Glencoe; son, James Phillip Smith, Birmingham; daughters, Cathy Langston, Phoenix, Ariz., and Ann-Marie Davis, Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren.The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Marshall County, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951.Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
