WALDEN, JR., P.D., 62, of Casselberry, FL died Sunday, February 10, 2008 after a long battle with multiple myloma. Known by his friends and family as Duke, he leaves behind his brother, Franklin T. Walden, sister-in-law, Kristin M. Walden, nephew, Franklin T. Walden, Jr., niece Kathryn N. Walden all of Winter Park and loving companion Darlene Jalowsky, daughter Aimee and grandaughter Sky. Duke was preceded in death by his parents, Pettie Duke Walden, Sr. and Lucile T. Walden. Duke was a graduate of Plant City Senior High School and Western Carolina University. While at Western Carolina University Duke distinguished himself as an outstanding member of the football team as well as an active member of the Kappa Alpha Order. After graduating from college, Duke returned to Plant City where he coached various sports for local schools. After coaching Duke moved to Orlando where he entered the sales profession. While in Orlando Duke made many friends and developed lifelong relationships. He was a loyal alumnus having never missed a high school class reunion and seldom a college homecoming. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society - Hope Lodge, 128 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612. On Friday, February 15, 2008 at 3PM, a graveside service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Dover Cemetery, 3223 Dover, FL 33527 with Dr. Benny E. Keck officiating.
