PENN YAN - Josephine M. Lewis, 84, of Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home in Penn Yan, formerly of Troupsburg, N.Y., entered into rest on Friday, March 9, 2012.Friends may call on from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, N.Y. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with Jerry Kernahan, her nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Young Hickory Cemetery, Troupsburg, N.Y.She was a home economics teacher for many years at Jasper Central School.Surviving are her sons, Larry Lewis (Annie Niver) of Penn Yan, Jeff (Lyn) Lewis of Annapolis, Md., and Michael (Darlene) Lewis of Pennsboro, W.Va., six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her sister, Charlotte Kernahan of Houghton, N.Y., her brother, Wilfred (Anna) White of Greenwood, N.Y., her sister-in-law, Beverly White of Hornell and several nieces and nephews.
