MCQUEEN, Mrs. Joncie Lee Adams was born the ninth child of the late Thomas and Irine Adams on Janu-ary 12, 1935 , in Hope Hull, Alaba-ma. On October 10, 2003, God called Joncie home. Funeral ser-vices will be held Saturday, Octob-er 18, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. from Shiloh AME Zion in Hope Hull, AL with Rev. Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Adams Cemetery with Phil-lips-Riley Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services.She was a lifetime member of Shi-loh A.M.E. Zion Church where she served faithfully as Deaconess, Usher and Steward. She also was a member of the Queen Henriette Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star 724 for 32 years. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School in 1954. She worked for Gayfers/Dillards for past 30 years. She was a devoted and lov-ing person throughout the commu-nity.Mrs. McQueen leaves to cherish her memory five children: Johnny (Je-ssie) Davenport, Montgomery, AL, Barbara (David) Haigler, Hope Hull, AL, Anthony Davenport, Eddie (Faye) McQueen, Angela (Charles) Arrington, all of Montgomery, AL; one step-daughter, Louise Milburn, Baltimore, Maryland; one adopted daughter, Monica (Brian) Davis, Montgomery, AL; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; three sis-ters, Anna Williams, Birmingham, AL, Delia Bulger, and Corene Critten-den, Hope Hull, AL; three brothers, Elijah (Queen) Adams, Hope Hull, AL, Dennis Adams, Flint, MI, Cleo (Ann) Adams, Cleveland, OH; three aunts, Ester Adams, Cecil, AL, Lucy Washington, and Isabel (James) Henderson, Birmingham, AL; one uncle, Frank (Bobbie) Lamb, Hope Hull, AL; three sisters-in-law, Jackie Adams, Flint, MI, Jo Ann Adams, Hope Hull, AL, Elnora Golden, Montgomery, AL.Special thanks to Dr. Underwood, Dr. Moorehouse, Baptist Emergen-cy Staff; Devoted friends Diane Ri-chardson, Della Wright, Eva Tho-mas, Cora Thomas, Mac and Mary Herbert, J.
