Johnny JohnsonJohnny "JJ" Johnson, age 71, of Florence, passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014.Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 19, 1-2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Johnson worked at Quinn's as an auto mechanic until retirement.He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys McMullan, parents, Green Hayes (Lena), adopted parents, Laveren and Iva Johnson, brothers, George and Jerry Hayes, and sisters, Madeline Overbay and Barbara Ann Hayes.Survivors include son, Jason Minton (Brittney) and children, of Florence; sisters, Ruth Bradford (Bud), of Muscle Shoals, Ima Jean Jerrim, of Michigan,Sally Morales (Tulio), of Tennessee, and Lockie, of Ohio; brothers, Walter Hayes (Pam), of Killen, Alabama, Doc Johnson (Pam), of Tennessee,and Lamuel Johnson, of Arizona;special friends, Linda Blisset and Judy McKelvey; andmany nieces and nephews.Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence, is directing.You may sign the guest register at sprywilliams.com.
