MONTGOMERY, JOHN RAYMOND Age 93, was born October 2, 1919 and passed away August 30, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Augustus and Pauline Brown Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Peggie Montgomery; daughter, Patti Drake; sons, Charles (Connie) Montgomery and Don Montgomery; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was retired from Alagasco after 37 years. He was a member of the Blount County Cattlemans Association for many years, member of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine since May 1961 and a proud veteran of U.S. Army, WWII. Visitation will be Sunday, September 1, 1:00-3:00PM, at Lemley Funeral Home, with service following at 3:00PM. Burial will take place at Union Grove Baptist Church, Hayden, AL. Bro. Toby Hollingsworth will be officiating. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
