JOAN SCRIBNER-LEMIEUX - STOWE - Joan Scribner-Lemieux, 75, died peacefully Thursday, April 19, 2012, in Greensboro Nursing Home. She was born April 27, 1936, in Stowe, the daughter of Roy and Phyllis Adams Boyea. Joan worked as a teller at Franklin Lamoille Bank in Stowe for many years and then worked 15 years at Tubbs Snowshoes in Stowe. She was a longtime Girl Scout leader and volunteered on the Stowe Rescue for several years. She enjoyed her flower gardens and the birds. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan is survived by her husband, Kenneth Lemieux; children, Phyllis Scribner of Milton, and Gary Scribner and wife, Lesley, of Johnson; stepchildren, Mary Lemieux of Morrisville, Steven Lemieux of Waterbury, Richard Lemieux of N. Hyde Park, Randy Lemieux of Johnson, Beverly Lemieux of Stowe, Wendy Boivin and husband, Robbie, of Johnson, and Tracy Judd and husband, Chan Sr., of Wolcott; brothers, Basil Boyea of New York, David Boyea of Connecticut, and Arthur Bond of Vermont; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; son, Steve Scribner; and stepmother, Ruth Boyea. A celebration of Joan's life will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. at her Nebraska Valley home.
