WILLIAMS, JEWELL ELIZABETH, 93 went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 22, 2013. She was born in Robeline, Louisiana on August 29, 1919. Before moving to Vestavia Hills she was very active in her church where she held several offices in the Women's Missionary Union. She dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She was a member of Liberty Park Baptist Church. Jewell moved from Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to Vestavia Hills, Alabama in 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Stuart Williams and is survived by her daughters, Lauretta Baker (Carlton) of Vestavia Hills, Alabama and Julia Swain (Richard) of Pflugerville, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 24th at Ridout's Valley Chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. with visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The WMU Foundation, 100 Missionary Ridge, Birmingham, Alabama 35242 in memory of Jewell E. Williams.
