Jerry L. Henderson, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away at Flagler Memorial Hospital on Oct. 5, 2012 with his wife Debra at his side. Mr. Henderson was born Oct. 22, 1948 in Geneva, AL to the late John Curtis Henderson and the late Estelle Bernice Williams. Jerry graduated from Hillsbourgh High School in Tampa, FL before joining the Army and serving his tour in Vietnam during 1968 and 1969. After his discharge he attended South Florida University to obtain his B.S. Degree in Art. Jerry taught high school art in Scotland for 20 years before retiring to Ormond Beach, FL to teach at Seabreeze High School. Jerry was a terrific artist, teacher, friend, and man. He is survived by his wife, Debra; two sons Alan Henderson and Ross Henderson from a previous marriage, both from Ormond Beach, FL; two brothers, John Henderson (Sue) from Baton Rouge, LA and Don Henderson (Eileen) from Kissimmee, FL. He will be missed by his many friends, students and family. Those wishing to attend his graveside memorial may do so Wednesday, Oct. 10th at 4 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Park, N. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach.
